Who is Jack Schitt ?


For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, "You don't know Jack Schitt!" Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way.
Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt.

Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married Miss O. Needeep They had one son, Jack.

In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deap Schitt and Dip Schitt.

Against her parents' objections, Deap Schitt married her cousin Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced.

Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and, because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock.

Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chick N. Schitt.

Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony.

The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials.

The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Hoarse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.

Now when someone says, "You don't know Jack Schitt," you can correct them.

HOW TO PASS A LIE DETECTOR TEST

Things You'll Need:
Very strong discipline
Ability to calm yourself down and concentrate

Step 1 You will be led into a room, usually with no windows and a bright colored chair (sometimes bright orange) with no foliage or anything to give you any sense of calmness. You will have to remove yourself from your mind and imagine you are watching yourself on a movie rather than participating in the actual interview or polygraph.

Step 2 Clear your mind. You will be given a series of questions that are "test" questions to calibrate the machine. Usually this will be your name, address, info on brothers sisters etc. When answering these test questions, think of situations in your life that have made you nervous. Be sure to become a bit jittery but not overkill. Breathe a bit faster during test questions.

Step 3 Then the real questions will begin. You will need to try to do the opposite. Imagine yourself answering questions from a 3rd person point of view (again watching yourself on a movie). Do not try to breathe faster or be nervous. You will naturally be nervous and breathe faster but try not to. What this will do is average your nervousness and vital impulses out with your "test" questions.

This will create an average with your "truthful test" questions and it will show that you are not lying.

Step 4 Practice these techniques on your own if you ever feel that you will be forced to take a polygraph (only in some foreign countries are polygraphs forced). Repeat the process over and over again in your head.

HALLOWEENS HISTORY

Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in).

The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.

To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities.

During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.

By A.D. 43, Romans had conquered the majority of Celtic territory. In the course of the four hundred years that they ruled the Celtic lands, two festivals of Roman origin were combined with the traditional Celtic celebration of Samhain.

The first was Feralia, a day in late October when the Romans traditionally commemorated the passing of the dead. The second was a day to honor Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees. The symbol of Pomona is the apple and the incorporation of this celebration into Samhain probably explains the tradition of "bobbing" for apples that is practiced today on Halloween.

By the 800s, the influence of Christianity had spread into Celtic lands. In the seventh century, Pope Boniface IV designated November 1 All Saints' Day, a time to honor saints and martyrs. It is widely believed today that the pope was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, but church-sanctioned holiday. The celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the night of Samhain, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween. Even later, in A.D. 1000, the church would make November 2 All Souls' Day, a day to honor the dead. It was celebrated similarly to Samhain, with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels, and devils. Together, the three celebrations, the eve of All Saints', All Saints', and All Souls', were called Hallowmas.

Before the Storm:

Develop a plan for you and your family for home, work, school and when outdoors.
Have frequent drills.
Know the county/parish in which you live, and keep a highway map nearby to follow storm movement from weather bulletins.
Have a NOAA Weather Radio with a warning alarm tone and battery back-up to receive warnings.
Listen to radio and television for information.
If planning a trip outdoors, listen to the latest forecasts and take necessary action if threatening weather is possible.

In a home or building, move to a pre-designated shelter, such as a basement.

Mobile homes, even if tied down, offer little protection from tornadoes and should be abandoned.

Thinking of buying a new car? Thinking of buying a Dodge or Chevrolet? Think again.

I purchased a brand new 2009 Tahoe a few months ago. Engine seized at 2000 miles! Chevy after arguing with them refunded my money on the truck. Think quality went out the window with bankrupsy of General Motors? Think the employee's working on those cars had a beef with GM and took it out on the assembly? You bet your ass they did.

2 friends of mine own Dodges. One is brand new (The Ram truck) Has less then 1800 miles on it and has been in the shop and is in there now a 4th. time. All for different problems. The other Dodge is a 2005 Mini Van with 72,000 miles on her. That has a problem which is covered by warranty right? Yes here's the catch. Since getting out of bankrupsy, Dodge has closed many dealerships and has only authorized a hand full that are open, to do the warranty work. Get that? Not all dealerships are allowed to do warranty work! She found a dealer who does warranty work. Its 23 miles from where she lives and they cant get to her claim for 4 to 6 weeks. They say the warranty part of the service department is backed up yet they have plenty of time for other non-warranty work that pays cash!
