By a lonely old river, a castle once stood
Shrouded in shadows, by thicket and wood
No sunshine had shone there, for many a year
Inside, a young maiden was crying a tear
Deafened from birth, and so blind in one eye
Blighted and cursed, from somebody on high
She had never heard rhyming, and never heard song
She never thought life, would be lonely so long
No laughter, or loving, or stories were heard
For twenty years, no one had spoken a word
This maiden was lonely, this maiden was sad
She yearned for a life, that would make her heart glad
No fish in the river, no birds in the sky
No hope in her heart, as her life passed her by
Resigned to a life, full of silence and pain
Resigned that she must, in the castle remain
One morn, the young maiden was sitting at rest
When she saw a young minstrel, appear from the West
With a harp on his shoulder, and a song he did bring
He saw the young maiden, and he started to sing
His song born from beauty, from the heavens above
His song, was rejoicing the wonder of love
As he sang it so sweetly, the sun it did shine
And the thicket, surrounding the castle untwined
The lonely old river, then started to flow
The birds were all singing, and the flowers did grow
Some squirrels and rabbits, were hopping along
As the minstrel he played, and he sang her his song
As the maiden sat watching, with much joy and a tear
She heard his sweet song, manifest in her ear
With hearing restored, and her sight in both eyes
The minstrel had given her, lifes greatest prize
As they met in the garden, they kissed for a while
The minstrel was struck, by her beauty and smile
Their tale a real miracle, that had come from above
The minstrel and maiden, had fallen in love.
When we typed those very first words,
how could we possibly have known;
our words would bring us so close
and this beautiful love would be sown.
The words we exchanged as friends;
made their way into our hearts.
Then they became words of love,
with hopes and dreams to impart.
How can you fall so much in love,
with someone who you have not met?
Because it is the words which reveal,
the heart of a person on the internet.
Your words made it so easy for me,
for your heart and soul to perceive.
And when love is based on words alone,
falling in love isn't so hard to conceive.
I don't need to see a picture of you,
or to even hear the sound of your voice.
As it is the person who you are inside,
which made you my dreams only choice.
Our hearts traveled towards each other,
and bridged the gap between the miles.
There is no distance between two hearts,
when it's your love that the bridge compiles.
Oh treacherous villain has thou no heart,
that thou may in thine own ways poison thee?
If thou must, bait the dagger not Cupid's dart,
for unknown things come in love's own memory.
And what may come to this heart of mine,
that it beats for such a waning desire,
that upon love's very death it shall resign,
to such misery as Hell's eternal fire!
What truth does thy heart speak in love,
that it has know way of knowing what it is;
just as thy own hand knows not its glove,
nor does thy thirsting lips know love's kiss!
Instead thy heart should resign to its own destiny,
that it may not in its own course control,
just as an unmassed ship is at the mercy of the sea,
so is thy heart at the mercy of thy soul!....
You had fallen from heaven straight into my arms,
Igniting my heart with your sweet seductive charms.
Showed me light in life that I'd never seen before,
Something that my heart and soul had been longing for.
Spread your caring angel wings right over my head,
Protecting me and saying what had not been said.
Those three simple words that I was needing to hear,
Were right in-front of my blind eyes but was unclear.
Clouds were smothering me and all that was around,
Until an angel flew down and then you were found.
The smoke disappeared leaving a vision of you,
A strong feeling of love that seemed long overdue.
The way that you would shelter my soul from the rain,
As you would clear away the storm ridding my pain.
You'd feel and heal the beating of my broken heart,
Painting a smile on my face like a piece of art.
Released all the emotions that were trapped inside,
Warm fuzzy feelings that I'd always try to hide.
Romantic enchanted fairy-tales pranced in my mind,
In books of make believe; my prince I needed to find.
Sweet tunes would play as I would look into your eyes,
And I could see the man who was hidden in disguise.
The Savior who had fallen from heaven above,
Is now the angel who helped me believe in love.
Come stay with me, and be my love.
Please dry my silent tears, because...
Too long my heart, has been denied.
Too many days, I've sat and cried.
For you to me, are everything.
Like flowers' bloom, in days of spring.
A starlit sky, when I'm alone.
A place my heart, can call a home..
You've took my hand, and walked a while.
You've cheered my heart, and made me smile.
You've shown me love, I'd never known,
Friendship, care, that now has grown.
Come stay with me, and be my love.
I need you now, want you because.
Forever captured, is my heart,
You won it from, the very start.
Love is a one way journey,in which it is easy to get in,
every heart makes this journey, hoping someday they win,
some hearts never stop and make this journey way to far,
and realize their mistake, only when they end up with a scar.
Every heart walks thinking their destiny is in this way,
building dreams upon dreams, every night and every day,
from their lips hundreds of prayers goes into the skies,
hoping to meet their love, every time they close their eyes.
Some get stranded in the middle, not knowing what to do,
the pain begins to creep in,to break their heart in two,
the path that was once was thought to be a bed of roses,
seems to turned into a nightmare,as all the door closes.
Still some pursue their dreams, hoping they will make it,
shedding blood and tears all the way,and never say i quit,
overcoming all the barriers, some somehow make it through,
to just hear those three magical words, which is I love you.
Some set their soul free by embracing death with their hands,
writing another love chapter as they sleep beneath the sands,
they had no other option,as their journey signaled the end,
their hearts were broken beyond any force on earth could mend.
This is one journey,in which each step teaches something new,
millions take this journey but successful journeys are few,
still many make this journey, ignoring the warning from above,
this is not a summer trip, it's a journey of ones true love.

No uttered words the poet speaks,
No skies of golden hue,
No tales of unrequited love,
They were lost when I lost you.
No words to caress his lover's heart,
And gone the dreams he swore they'd live,
But alone within the poet dwells,
No uttered words... none left to give.
No music swells within his soul,
Just silence surrounds his heart,
And the solitude engulfs his world,
When the poet and love depart.
And lost the beauty he once could see,
And the glory he saw each day,
Now the poet pens his last farewell,
No more love can he convey.
But what's the poet's soul to do?
To release the love he feels,
For he'll surely die and wither,
If that love he now conceals.
He must hide the hurt and heartache,
Just smile to friends and say,
I'm fine... love doesn't matters,
And deceive them all that way.
For a different face he'll show them,
To barricade his pain,
To hide his shattered spirit,
From the love he ne'er attained.
But the pain within shall kill him,
Not soon but through the years,
For the poet knows his anguish,
When alone he sheds her tears.
And at night when dreams come calling,
With her voice, her smile... her eyes,
A single tear upon his cheek,
Hides the pain his heart belies.
For he loved her soul completely,
Was consumed by beauty's bliss,
Had shared her inner thoughts,
But never shared her kiss.
And when death comes to the poet,
And to heaven his soul ascends,
He'll smile before her beauty,
For eternity never ends.
So will the poet regret the life,
Which stole away the years,
No he'll simply recall the love,
He felt in all her tears.
And when his love has joined him,
And they meet in heaven's bliss,
Their regrets will quickly perish,
As they kiss their first sweet kiss.
And the words will quickly flow again,
From my thoughts, to hand... to book,
I'll not write of God or Heaven,
When upon your face I look.
So the poet's again a poet,
For the words were always there,
I just didn't see much beauty,
When your love I couldn't share.
So their souls will find the love at last,
That in life they could not seek,
And the poet soon finds the words in you...
The words... he could not speak.
