I AM SEARCHING FOR YOU

I was stranded in the middle of the ocean, while I attempted to search for you.
I dived and rummaged the ocean’s floors in hopes to find a clue.

I made it back to western shores and feel asleep from fatigue; I began to have a dream
of how the world would be, if it were only you and me.

I awoke and I rose to my feet and then began to walk.
I thought of how lovely it would be, if you and I could talk.

I fell down and began to crawl; there was nothing I could do,
I wished to go to sleep, but I would not, until I could rest with you.

I made it to the desert and went without a drink until my face turned blue,
I walk through about four dozen states, and still I searched for you.

I knock on about three million doors, in hopes to see your face.
I arrived at one and fell to the floor, from feeling my disgrace.

I arrived at my home, and went to bed, ignoring the phone calls of my crew.
They wondered where I have been, while I have searched for you.

I went out and began to drive and looked at the faces while I passed.
So you know that I still search for you, until the days of last.

I am still sure that you exist because I can feel it in my heart;
while I can not find you my boo-boo soul remains to be torn apart.

I will continue my quest throughout my life and not ignore a clue.
The tears of sorrow fill my eyes, as I still search for you.
