I want to explain why my accounts kept disappearing to my friends and others who may be wondering. When I signed up,I did not read the TOS or terms of service. I am sure many if not most of you have not as well. If you have not,please read them. It will save you from potentially doing something that will get your account deleted and any subsequent accounts you create getting deleted as well. So,I signed up without reading the TOS. I saw others posting banners for money making sites in comments and thought that was okay. It was not. It was soliciting and that is a violation of TOS. I also posted banners for money making sites on my site thinking that was okay as well. After all,I had seen others do that as well. It was not okay.It was advertising and that is against the TOS as well. Then, I made the mistake of constantly drawing the attention of Yearbook staff to myself by writing Abuse and complaining about bad batttles or bad people on this site whenever I saw them. I called myself helping to police the site but in truth I was just making it more likely that Yearbook staff would notice that I was in violation of the TOS. I also would constantly write Suggestions and give them good suggestions as well as report technical problems. I always got automated responses when I wrote to Abuse and Suggestions and thought all was well. Then, I complained about a bad battle that was approved. It was called "Who is the faggot?" and it was between two guys that hated each other. One had used the other's picture so that even if he lost the battle his opponent would still be the...you know. Well, I was very rough in that letter to Abuse. I basically read them the riot act. I told them such a battle should not have been approved, it was insulting to gays and me, and that the battle should be removed immediately. The next thing I knew I was cut off from the site. Now,please note that this site tells you point blank numerous times that if you violate TOS or upload copyrighted materials,etc. your account will be terminated without notice. That is exactly what happened to me. After I managed to get back on the site,when I tried to log in my user name was invalid. Also,I discovered that my account had been set to private for everyone,including myself. I did not know what was going on. I did not know if my account had been hacked or if the site itself had closed my account but not deleted it. I did not know because nobody at Yearbook was supposed to let me know I violated TOS by advertising and soliciting although they had answered me numerous times when I wrote with complaints or suggestions or wrote them concerning technical problems. They were not supposed to so they did not,at that time. Finally,after having several accounts closed and my brother's account deleted they wrote me and told me that I had violated the TOS after I begged Abuse to look into my situation and tell we what was going on. I thought I was being harassed or stalked by some hacker possibly. They did not tell me how I violated the TOS so I had to read them and find out. When I did, I realized I was guilty as charged. They also told me subsequent accounts would be deleted or closed just like the others but I feel that my story is one that should be told and known by others as a precautionary tale. So, I will keep opening accounts and they will stay up until the site closes them if they never decide to give me another chance. You will know it is me by my name,picture,and this story that will be posted in this section on my site. I will use these accounts mostly to spread the message about being sure to read the TOS when you sign up or after you sign up,vote and Supervote for friends and others,give people stars,high fives,etc. I will not try to battle or accumulate a lot of lunch money. I will be doing my best to give away as much lunch money as possible instead. These sites will be mostly for others,not myself. In closing I am just going to say,read the TOS and abide by them. If you do not,what happened to me could also happen to you. I am hoping that one day Yearbook staff will realize that not all violators of TOS are bad people and that some do deserve or should be given another chance. Like I said above,"To err is human but to forgive is divine". Oh,and I am not kissing butt. I know some will think that but that is simply not the case. I am not the suck up type. Believe me. I am taking responsibility like a man or owning up to what I did wrong,apologizing,hoping to be forgiven,and hoping to help others with my story and in other ways here. UPDATE: Since I wrote the above MyYearbook has decided to allow me to keep this account as well as two others and I thank them for that. I vow to never violate the T.O.S. again and in doing so will prove myself worthy of the second chance they have given me. Also,I am battling now and ask those who are not too chicken to challenge me as long as they are not friends or fellow group members. :-)
