myYearbook Brings Live Feed Real-Time Location-Based Stream to the iPhone

(NEW HOPE, PA) June 3, 2010 -- myYearbook, the best place to meet new people and one of the 25 most-trafficked sites in the United States, today announced the availability of its first iPhone application. Live Feed, a real-time location-based stream which receives over 1 million posts per day, is at the center of the new app. This free app can be downloaded from the iTunes Store here: http://itunes.apple.com/app/id372648912?mt=8.

The new myYearbook app takes advantage of the iPhone's GPS capabilities to display posts of members who share similar locations in the "Near Me" tab. Users also have the choice to filter Live Feed streams by: everyone on myYearbook, people near to them or only their friends.

The iPhone version of myYearbook Live Feed also makes use of the iPhone's camera and photo library. Unlike other popular social streams, Live Feed enables users to post photos as comments, as well as text. "The myYearbook app permits interesting photo storytelling," notes Geoff Cook, CEO of myYearbook. "You might see posts like 'What are you reading right now?' or 'What do you see?' and instead of text comments, our members use their iPhone camera to post photos into the stream."
