Thousands of People Around the World Compete Online for Titles "Best Looking," "Cutest Couple" and "Hottest Friends"

(NEW HOPE, PA) November 27, 2006 . myYearbook.com has more than 1,500,000 members.and now they're fighting with each other! The teenage founders of myYearbook.com announced today the launch of Battles.myYearbook.com, the next leap forward in online social interaction.

MyYearbook.com's members now can battle each other for "World Championship" or "School Championship" titles in competitions in multiple categories including "Best Looking," "Cutest Couple," "Hottest Friends," and many more.

Whoever said social networking had to be all glitters and guestbooks? Set aside the smiling faces, because this means war!

"When it comes to the online experience, let's face it. Everybody loves checking out each other's websites and rating them," explained Catherine Cook, age 17, one of the founders of myYearbook.com. "We just decided to take it a step further and give our members the opportunity of a little healthy competition with each other, encouraged by myYearbook.com."

"My co-founders are my kid sister and my big brother," said Dave Cook, myYearbook founder. "Maybe that's why the concept of Battles seemed like such a natural fit to us. Whether our members are siblings, best friends, rivals, or strangers on opposite sides of the globe, they can square off in a fight for the right to claim they are Best Looking person in their school or state, the Funniest, the Toughest, whatever else they decide."

MyYearbook.com launched its Battles feature with 15 competitions and invites members to create their own categories of Battles. Each Battle will last for 3 days and all votes will be tracked by myYearbook.com's database. The winner of each battle will be the person who attracts the most online votes in each competition.and myYearbook.com will provide a special "I won myBattles" flash widget available to each champion for use on his or her site.
